Student SOCS Guidance Parent SOCS Guidance
Rickmansworth School believes strongly in the importance of providing a truly rounded education that develops individuality and provides the opportunity for students to experience a wide range of extra-curricular activities and trips.
Our extensive extracurricular programme is managed through the SOCS system, which allows our students to easily view the available opportunities, sign up for clubs, and manage their schedules. This system also enables our staff to closely monitor student involvement and ensure that everyone has the chance to participate in the activities that interest them. Developing the Whole Student Participation in extracurricular activities is an integral part of our school's ethos, as it aligns with our six "Ricky Rs" - the core values that guide our approach to education. By engaging in clubs and activities, our students have the opportunity to:
-
Responsible for managing their own schedules and commitments
-
Respect for their peers, coaches, and the school community
-
Relationships through teamwork and collaboration
-
Resourceful in exploring new interests and developing new skills
-
Resilient in the face of challenges and setbacks
-
Reflective on their experiences and personal growth in the School Community
At Rickmansworth School, we believe that extracurricular activities play a vital role in fostering a vibrant and engaged school community. Through our diverse range of clubs and activities, our students have the opportunity to connect with their peers, discover new passions, and develop essential life skills that will serve them well both in and out of the classroom. We encourage all of our students to take advantage of the enrichment opportunities available at Rickmansworth School. As a parent, simply log into your SOCS account, browse the available clubs and support your child in signing up for the activities that pique their interest.
